Care Instructions

Here at One in Amelian Handmade, we take pride in creating high-quality, timeless clothing designed to be loved… and loved… and loved again, then passed to the next kiddo and loved some more! Each piece is crafted with skill and care, and with a little extra care from you, it can stay beautiful for years to come.

 

To help preserve the color, softness, and shape of your handmade item, we recommend the following care instructions:

• Wash inside out on a delicate cycle with like colors in cool water.
• Avoid washing with heavy or abrasive items such as denim, items with zippers, or towels.
• Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
• Remove items from the washing machine promptly at the end of the wash cycle and hang or lay flat to dry. Heavy items or those with straps should be laid flat to prevent stretching during the drying process.
• Use stain removers cautiously, following product directions carefully. Test the product on a small, inconspicuous spot first.
• If ironing is needed, iron inside out on low heat, testing first on a small, inconspicuous area.
• For items with solid trims or special accents, wash alone in a large load (full drum of water) with a color catcher for the first few washes and remove promptly after the cycle completes. Follow the recommended care instructions for remaining laundering process.
